From genius child actor to star and then fired

Judy Garland, a legendary musical star who was hailed as a genius child actress for her role as Dorothy in ` `The Wizard of Oz '' (39), and who appeared in numerous masterpieces as MGM's signature star. After that, due to his demanding schedule and emotional instability caused by drug addiction, he frequently missed work, and was eventually fired from MGM.

However, 15 years after ``The Wizard of Oz,'' he made a spectacular comeback to the screen with `` A Star Is Born '' (54). The 15-minute musical medley performed in the play received high praise and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1955. Many filmmakers did not doubt that she had won the award, but when they opened the lid, the coveted trophy went to Grace Kelly, who starred in `` Applause '' (54). There is also a rumor that some MGM executives, who were at the mercy of Garland's turbulent lifestyle, were angry and staged some behind-the-scenes maneuvers, but it is unclear how true or false this is. However, Garland said he was not at all saddened by losing the award.
