The devil's temptation... no! ?

Harlin (John Goodman), a drug dealer and friend of Whip, appears with the Rolling Stones' classic song ` `Sympathy for the Devil' ' in the background.

“Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a hobbyist with a lot of money. I have traveled to various places for a long time, stealing and abandoning many souls.”

The lyrics of ``Sympathy for the Devil'' are written as a story about the devil, who cries out, ``I was present'' at scenes such as the execution of Christ, the Russian Revolution, and World War II. This is a selection of songs that Harlin described as "demonic."

In easy-to-understand action-horror movies, the devil appears as a strange Monster who plots mass genocide and causes natural disasters, but the "devil" that appears in the Bible, other sacred texts, and myths is an insidious trickster with a bad personality. It is a kind of existence.

In terms of movies, a good example would be Stephen King's ` `Needful Things '' (1993). Needful Things is a second-hand goods store that opened in Castle Rock, a rural town in Maine. The shopkeeper tricks the visitors into playing a prank on them in exchange for giving them the item they most want for free. The person who has been pranked will guess who the culprit is and cause a conflict with someone they have no relationship with. Disputes create conflicts, divide small towns, and turn people into rioters. In Christianity, "neighbors" are meant to be loved, so the devil's purpose is to make them commit sins and steal their souls.

In "Flight," Harlin is brash and insensitive, but to Whip he's a charming friend. Then, he delivers cocaine to Whip, who is completely drunk before the hearing, and saves the day. At first glance, it seems like he's helping Whip, but he's also trying to get him to commit a "sin."

Of course, there is also the legal crime of perjury, but what Harlin is trying to get people to commit is the so-called Ten Commandments of Moses, which God only entrusted to Moses in the Old Testament: ``Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor.'' is. So, does "Flight" depict the test of faith that overcomes the temptations of demons and demonic beings?
