"Hello! I'm Carrie Fisher, the alcoholic who played Princess Leia."
This is a running joke that Carrie Fisher uses to greet people at lectures and fan meetings.
Movies often feature scenes in which alcoholics sit together in a circle and discuss their experiences. That was a meeting of a self-help group for alcoholics called ``Alcoholics Anonymous,'' commonly known as ``AA.'' Carrie Fisher's self-introduction gag is a self-deprecating gag that stems from her confessing that she is an alcoholic after saying her name at an ``AA'' meeting.

Courtroom suspense... Not! ?
In a movie, the first scene of the main character is something like a self-introduction, saying, ``I'm going to talk about this person.'' In this respect, the ``self-introduction'' of Whip (Denzel Washington), the main character in ``Flight,'' is powerful.
A hotel room with many empty liquor bottles lying around. The person on the other end of the phone call was his divorced wife. The story is a terrible story about not wanting to pay for a child's school fees. He shares marijuana with a naked woman, gulps down a nearby bottle with traces of its contents, hangs up the phone, and snorts a line of white cocaine powder spread out on the table. . Although the scene is short, it perfectly shows the trashy humanity of the main character, Whip.
“Flight” preview
Whip is the captain of a domestic airliner heading from Orlando, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. Using his skill and knowledge, he manages to escape through the cumulonimbus clouds and take off into the sky, but due to a malfunction, the plane becomes uncontrollable and continues to drop in altitude. Whip realizes that the rudder that controls altitude is malfunctioning, maintains altitude by flying inverted, and makes a successful emergency landing.
After the accident, Whip became a hero who saved many passengers, but when alcohol was detected in his blood, he was charged with manslaughter for causing the deaths of several people. I end up being attacked.
In a setting like this, it would be common practice to create a thrilling courtroom drama, with political negotiations and battles over evidence. However, director Robert Zemeckis spins the story without focusing on that.
