Spielberg acquired the film rights before publication.

A 45-year-old housewife, Francesca, lives in Madison County, Iowa, and a 52-year-old photographer, Kincaid, have a ``true love that only lasted for four days.'' It touches the hearts of many people because it is an incredibly simple love story in which a man and a woman meet and break up. That's Robert James Waller's 1992 romantic novel, `` The Bridges of Madison County .''

Originally, Waller did not have the slightest ambition to write a blockbuster novel. He completed the manuscript in just 11 days, intending to give it as a modest gift to friends and family. One of my friends was impressed by the novel and approached an agent about it, and it was published by Warner Books. Harlequin Romance's straight-forward story sold like hotcakes, reaching a record number of 50 million copies sold worldwide. Its popularity became a social phenomenon, and it became one of the best-selling novels of the 20th century.

The studio's name is Amblin Entertainment. The production company was founded by Steven Spielberg in 1970 with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

Not only Spielberg's own films such as ` `ET '' (1982), ` `Jurassic Park '' (1993), `` Schindler's List '' (1993), and `` Ready Player One '' (18), but also director Richard Donner's `` He has also been active in producing films by other directors, including ``The The Goonies '' (1985), Robert Zemeckis ' ``Back to the Future' ' (1985), and Martin Scorsese's ` `Cape Fear '' (1991).

Amblin had purchased the movie rights to ``The Bridges of Madison County'' for $25,000 before publication. Too keen a sense of smell, too much foresight! As expected, Spielberg is the king who has reigned over Hollywood for many years. Hats off to you.
