As a multi-event team competition movie

Several Indian films feature "student team multi-sport competitions." One of them is " Student of the Year " (2012), which was also released in Japan.

Produced by the superstar Shah Rukh Khan, also known as the "King of Bollywood," and directed by the masterful Karan Johar of " Family Meet " (2001), this film was a huge hit in India. It is probably the direct source of the idea for the "team multi-sport competition" in "Be With Chhichhore."

And there is a film that could be considered the ancestor of all of these films: Revenge of the Nerds (1984), a masterpiece that gained cult popularity when it was released in the US in 1984, is still often compared to today, and has become one of the pop culture icons of the 1980s.

Revenge of the Nerds: Assemble! The Terrifying Wacky Army Trailer

"Nerds" are people who are at the bottom of the school caste system, and the closest thing to them in Japanese would be the very stereotypical "otaku." They are people who are uninformed about fashion, love, and relationships in general, but who are unrivaled in their obsession with the things they like.

In "Revenge of the Nerds," the "Nards" go to college and fight off the bullying of the "jocks" (who are as easily recognized today as they were in the past, and are only good at sports).

In "Revenge of the Nerds," "team multi-sport competitions" are used as a way of fighting among groups known as fraternities and sororities, which are unique to American universities, but the activities are silly, such as beer-drinking tricycle races and burp bragging contests, which are typical of hedonistic college students.

The way the "Naaz," who are called "losers" by the "jocks," advance through The Game can be said to have inherited that spirit from the Indian film "I Chhichhore," made 35 years later.
