Is it hard to call it fiction now?

An ally of justice that controls evil is someone who gives courage and hope to children of all ages. Everyone dreams at least once that one day they might be able to imitate the superheroes they admire on TV or in the movies.

Such dreams tend to be forgotten once we grow up, but when we watch a movie like ``Kick-Ass,'' such dreams come back to mind. ``Kick-Ass'' is a movie about a high school boy who excels in both studies and sports and strives to become a superhero.

Dave Liszewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is a dull high school boy living in New York who has a passion for comic books. She lost her mother to a sudden illness and now lives with her father. Influenced by comic book superheroes, Dave isn't satisfied with just fantasizing about a world in which he's a hero, so he ends up donning a bizarre costume, calling himself "Kick-Ass," and going on patrol on his own. Start.

"Kick-Ass" trailer

One day, Dave encounters a pair of fully trained father and daughter vigilantes, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz), who are involved in a battle with a powerful criminal organization. Getting caught up in the battle... That is the plot of this work.

Based on the comic of the same name by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., the story may not be unrealistic anymore. Nowadays, many American comic book movies, including those by Marvel and DC, have become explosive hits all over the world, and there are many people who aspire to become superheroes in the real world, like the main character of this work.

In fact, in the United States and other Western countries, cosplay vigilante groups have been formed to guard dangerous areas, so the world depicted in ``Kick-Ass'' can no longer be called complete fiction.

The story of a person with no abilities who aspires to become a superhero may at first glance seem like a comedy, but it also has a very American comic-like content. This is because many superheroes, such as Batman, Spider-Man, and Captain America, were originally ordinary humans without any powers. Their abilities are not innate; most of them are acquired. The story of high school student Dave's ambition to become a superhero can be watched in the same way as the origin stories of past superheroes.
