The whole story is full of raging action.

One of the joys of the movie ``Mortal Kombat'' is the unique cast that embodies familiar characters from The Game, in addition to the main character Cole. The performers, who have been invited from all over the world, are extremely diverse, both in terms of their identities such as race and ethnicity, and in terms of their past activities.

Among them, the actors who have a particularly strong presence in the play are the martial actors who lead the battle scenes. The role of Cole will be played by Lewis Tan, who is known for `` Deadpool 2 '' (18) and the Netflix drama `` Assassin of the Five Elements '' (19-). The son of stunt legend Philip Tan, he is a true action actor who trained in martial arts from an early age. Lewis boasts, ``If it's an action movie, the actors themselves have to do the action,'' and as he says, he personally performs the fight scenes that combine intensity and speed.

``Mortal Kombat'' is full of action, as director McCoid says, ``I wanted to advance the story through action.'' The Game's characters, such as Sonia Blade, Kanou, Jax, Kung Lao, and Shang Tsung, engage in nonstop battles using their respective abilities (for example, Raiden, played by Tadanobu Asano, has the ability of lightning). Because the characters have a wide variety of abilities, there is a wide variety of action scenes. Real hand-to-hand combat, fantastical battles that make use of CG expressions, and life-changing situations where a moment can mean the difference between victory and defeat... The "fatality" (final blow), a decisive blow in a fight with clear brutal expressions, is the most distinctive feature of the "Mortal Kombat" series, and can be perfectly reproduced on the big screen. The point is that it is not only brutal, but also has the effect of tightening up the work at key points.

In addition to Lewis, the cast includes Ludi Lin (Liu Kang) of " Power Rangers " (17) and " Aquaman " (18), Max Huang (Kung Lao), who has a career as a former stunt person, And a martial artist named Joe Taslim (who played Sub-Zero) from " The Raid " (11) came together. From Japan, Hiroyuki Sanada, who has a rich background as an action actor, participated in the role of Scorpion/Hanzo Hasashi. Even in regular screenings, the high-speed battles that make full use of weapons and bodies will take your breath away, but in the IMAX® version, you will be able to experience the immersion and tension as if you were witnessing the battlefield.

Of particular note is the presence of Hiroyuki Sanada, who plays the role of Scorpion/Hanzo Hasashi in a full-fledged action role for the first time in a while. Although he only had a small role in `` Avengers: Endgame '' (2019), in this work he once again shows Japanese audiences how cool and cool he is. His persuasive ability to single-handedly carry the setting that is the backbone of the story, his sword fighting that never fades, and his presence that grabs the attention of the audience as soon as he appears, make me think, ``Right now, I can't see Hiroyuki Sanada looking this cool in a major Hollywood movie.'' You should even feel that emotion. Fans of Sanada's work from the 1970s and 1980s should come and see him in theaters.
