Harley Quinn/Rick Flag/Captain Boomerang/Amanda Waller

There are approximately 16 villains appearing in ``The Suicide Squad'' (unfortunately, there are some characters that we were not able to introduce in this article). The last thing we'd like to introduce to you is the cast that continues from David Ayer's version of `` Suicide Squad .''

The familiar Harley Quinn is making a comeback following the air version of ``Suicide Squad'' and the solo movie ` `Birds of Prey '' (2020). The characters join the lineup of extremely strong characters, and they show off their psychotic charm in a more carefree way than ever before. After the previous episode, ``Awakening,'' the characters have become even more free-spirited, and in this work, they go on a rampage with little burden of human drama. This is his third appearance, but his appearance is still fresh.

Of course, the role is played by Margot Robbie, who has become so well established that it can now be said that when you think of Harley Quinn. Gunn took the plunge and aimed to return to the Harley of the comics, and Margot was convinced by the way he drew her after reading the script. The action scene in the middle of the film, which she performed herself, is a work that Margot is proud of, saying, ``It became something that will stay with me in my career.''

Rick Flag, played by Joel Kinnaman, appears as the leader of the Suicide Squad following the Air version. In order to keep the team together, which has become even crazier, he shows humanity, almost like the conscience of the movie, and this time his beliefs as a soldier are also properly portrayed. On the other hand, Gunn's humor was also sprinkled in, making him even more versatile as a character.

By the way, Kinnaman did not intend to reprise the air version of Flag, but rather approached this work with the intention of playing a new role. However, this is where Gunn's skill with respecting the characters shines. As mentioned earlier, the role of the de facto leader is replaced by Bloodsport and Peacemaker, and the roles that are similar to the air version are still alive and well.

Captain Boomerang, who also returns, inherits the tone of the previous work and acts as a bridge between this work and the character, as Jai Courtney, who plays him, says, ``The appeal of Captain Boomerang is that he never changes.'' position. Of course, his charming charm is still there. There is even a sense of security in the ensemble with the "returning group" of Harley Quinn and Rick Flag.

Of particular note is the presence of Amanda Waller, who sends the team on a desperate mission. Waller, portrayed by Gunn, will have a stronger presence and an even bigger role than the last time, and will shock the audience with his frightening facial expressions. Since she is evil that rules over evil, she is truly an "extreme" villain. Director Gunn said he was "really scared" by Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis' performance.

Incidentally, this film also features cameo appearances by people who have connections to comics and director Gunn. John Ostrander, the writer of the original comic, appears as a doctor who implants a bomb in Savant's head. Gunn's mentor, film director Lloyd Kaufman, and Pom Klementieff, best known for her role as Mantis in the Guardians of the Guardians of the Galaxy series, briefly appear in the bar scene where the entire team visits.
