A culminating fourth work that provides the “answer” to the series.
What was "The matrix"? I think this is a question that changes greatly depending on when and when you first encountered this series. As this is an epoch-making work that takes technology as its theme, I can't help but feel that it is closely connected to the atmosphere of the time and the age of the viewer.
For me, who is a little removed from the "Donzuba generation", I was still in elementary school when the first movie " The matrix " (1999) was released, and it was difficult for me to understand it (a machine like a parasite sucks blood from the belly button). I have strong memories of being mildly traumatized by the scene in which he was shown, and the effects such as the loss of his mouth.) Although I was able to understand the content to a certain extent after I got older, I watched this film with the title ``a work that changed the history of film'' and the accompanying trivia as support items, and I was able to grasp the essence correctly. To this day, I still have difficulty feeling confident about whether or not they exist.
However, there is an anecdote that the script for ``The matrix'' itself was ``not understood by anyone'' before production (so the directors, the Wachowskis, prepared a storyboard that visualized every detail). This may be a feeling held by a certain number of people, both then and now.

However, in the fourth work " matrix Resurrections ", which is the first new chapter in 18 years since the third work "The Matrix Resurrections" (2003), an "answer" to this "What is the matrix" debate is presented. I feel like it was done to me. That feeling was the biggest aftertaste for me personally, and it rippled in my heart as the end credits played.
More specifically, isn't "The Matrix Resurrections" meant for that purpose? It has a structure that makes you feel that way. In other words, the creator himself asks, ``What is ``The matrix''?, struggles with it, and finally finds the answer. That kind of story is pushed to the forefront rather than in the background.
Each (multi) ``matrix'' is aggregated into a certain (uni) ``matrix.'' In that sense, ``The Matrix Resurrections'' is worthy of being called the culmination of the series, and has a content of great ``significance.''
