Sony Pictures Entertainment
Sequel to Ridley Scott's masterpiece "Blade Runner" (1982). Since the first film was so great, many fans were concerned about the idea of a sequel being made, but director Denis Villeneuve successfully overcame that pressure and created a wonderful sci-fi masterpiece. It never falls into the trap of becoming a fan movie of the previous work, and while it inherits the world view, the story takes a new turn, making it a satisfying sequel. Roger Deakins, who won the Academy Award for Cinematography for this film, takes your breath away and is a must-see.

29th place: "Jurassic Park" (93) Director: Steven Spielberg 127 minutes
Science fiction movies often have the slogan, "Image revolution!", and this film is definitely one of them. The video, which used CG and animatronics to bring dinosaurs back to life in modern times, stunned audiences at the time. In addition, Spielberg's unique ``fear of being attacked'' production in ``Jaws'' (1975) was fully demonstrated, and it became a historic blockbuster worldwide. More than 25 years have passed since it was made, but the dinosaurs are still as impressive as ever.

A science fiction action masterpiece in which Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was said to have no enemies on Earth at the time of its release, engages in a desperate battle with a mysterious alien life form called Predator that has come to Earth. In addition to the sharp action direction by John McTiernan, who worked on Die Hard, there is also a thrilling battle between Schwarzenegger, also known as Major Dutch, a veteran special forces member, and the hunting tribe Predator. I'm so excited.

A film adaptation of Robert A. Heinlein's Hugo Award-winning science fiction masterpiece, ``Space Warriors.'' The all-out war between the Earth Federation and the insect-like space creatures is powerfully depicted, but the depiction of militarism and propaganda is also interesting, full of bitter irony. This is a film that is uniquely Verhoeven's, including the intense and merciless depiction of battles.

A moving science fiction story written by Spielberg that depicts the interaction between an alien and a young boy. It was a huge hit, mainly in the United States, and grossed over $300 million domestically, making it the highest-grossing movie in history at the time. It remained the highest-grossing film of all time until it was surpassed by Jurassic Park. In the famous bicycle flight scene, you can't help but lean forward and be carried away by Spielberg's direction. Although it has a strong impression of being a children's movie, I would rather recommend it to adults, as it is a masterpiece in the history of cinema that shines through Spielberg's skill.

Original work by Guillermo del Toro. The film depicts the battle between giant robots developed by humans to confront monsters that emerge from the ocean floor of the Pacific Ocean. In the movie, the monster is called ``KAIJU'' and the robot throws a rocket punch, making it a work that gives you a strong sense of Guillermo del Toro's respect and partiality for Japanese manga, anime, and special effects works. There is. The battle between giant monsters and robots is very impressive, and that alone is worth seeing in this sci-fi masterpiece.
