Why is this work still loved today?

This work is full of charm from the cast and interesting dialogue, but its strength lies in its vivid portrayal of the power The Game of distorted human relationships that occur within the narrow community of a school. We all have experiences during our school days, such as the fear of being isolated, having to endure peer pressure and harassment within a group, and betraying one's friends in order to improve one's status within the school. He hides the suffocation and bitterness that he experienced in his work in his pop and funny style. This kind of ``poison'' gives it a universality that deeply stings people regardless of gender or generation. Another appeal of this work is that it not only depicts the difficulties of student life, but also depicts a perspective one step beyond that.

Interestingly, Mark Waters has an older brother named Daniel Waters, who also wrote classic American school movies. He was in charge of the screenplay for `` Heathers/Veronica's Hot Day '', in which the main character Veronica (Winona Ryder), who is a member of the school's popular three-girl group ``Heathers'' and who is used every day, meets a transfer student named J.D. by chance. (Christian Slater) is a black comedy about killing the members of the Heathers one by one. It is clear that ``Mean Girls'' is based on `` Heathers,' ' as the plot is similar to that of collapsing a group of three girls who control a school by collaborating with Outsider.

However, the crucial difference between the two is that ``Mean Girls'' depicts ``mean girls'' only symbolically, and compared to `` Heathers, '' which concludes that it is okay to kill them for the sake of peace. Rather than portraying a ``mean child'' as absolutely evil, it takes a one-step-ahead perspective, showing that everyone has the potential to become a disgusting person, and that this is why we can find a path to mutual understanding. Faye has said in an interview that there was a time when she was a bit of a "mean kid," and that experience probably has something to do with the kind of warm perspective she takes toward "mean kids" in this work. . Such multifaceted perspectives are probably the reason why this film continues to be loved as a classic school movie.

In March 2023, the start of the musical version of ``Mean Girls'' was announced on the movie's official SNS. Kady will be played by Angourie Rice, who starred in " Everyday " (2018) and "Honor Society" (22). Tina Fey and Tim Meadows are said to be returning. This "So fetch" work still hasn't lost its luster.
