Real conversation that tickles your otaku heart

This scene, along with many fans' favorites, is the scene where Sean throws a record from his collection to fend off Dawn of the Dead. This scene is enough to make music fans grin, but the exchange unfolds like this.

Sean: “Don’t give away rare records.”

Ed: “What about “ Purple Rain ”?”

Sean: “Absolutely not.”

Ed: “What about the Batman soundtrack?”

Sean: “You can throw it.”

Ed: “What about the Stone Roses ?”

Sean: “No.”

Ed: “It’s ‘ Second Coming ’, right?”

Sean: “I love you.”

This exchange may seem gibberish to those who don't know much about music, but it was a big hit with rock fans. ``Purple Rain'' is Prince 's masterpiece, and the album he produced for Tim Burton's ``Batman'' was generally poorly received. Director Wright had a similar idea, and the ``Batman'' album ended up becoming a ``weapon'' for Sean and his friends. Compared to the Stone Roses' first album , which is said to be a masterpiece, their next album, ``Second Coming'', was unpopular. The exchanges here reflect the atmosphere of rock geeks.

The fact that there were so many slightly maniacal lines like this is probably one of the reasons why this work was released on DVD in Japan. However, the basics of the drama are Sean's efforts to save his loved ones and his growth in the process. From start to finish, Sean is still wearing the uniform of the electronics shop where he works, his white shirt becoming increasingly covered in blood and sweat. According to director Wright, this was inspired by Bruce Willis's tank top appearance in Die Hard (1988). Although he is a useless man, the main character tries his best anyway. We shouldn't overlook the fact that such a universal setting attracts so much sympathy. That's why this work became a work loved by fans.
