Choice to go beyond the original
Susie hopes to revive the Marcos Dance Company by using her supernatural powers to erase the memory of psychiatrist Klemperer, who discovered the true identity of the company. In the process, she also erases the sad and abhorrent memories that the Nazi regime inflicted on Klemperer, who is Jewish. This is likely an act of empathy and compassion as a witch who has shouldered a harsh history. From this depiction, we can sense that the company will be reborn and the story of the witches with their original values will be woven. This film depicts not the collapse of the original version, but the story of the witches' rebirth.

At this point, this film is no longer a horror film, but a work for minorities that shows the values of a new era, offering a kinder view to the socially downtrodden. This approach is an interpretation and perspective unique to director Luca Guadagnino, who also directed Call Me by Your Name .
It may be difficult for audiences who are fans of the original version, which was a purely sensory depiction through beautiful images, to accept this. However, it would be a disadvantage for younger directors to create something that follows on from the original with a similar theme and style. Director Guadagnino has reborn "Suspiria" in a completely different form, making use of his own qualities and using new expressions to rival and surpass director Argento.
