Jump on a train to Scotland for a getaway across the UK

The movie begins with a scene in a music hall. As the audience cheers, a man known as ``Mr. Memory'' stands respectfully on stage. He is a performer who memorizes everything and shows off his knowledge in detail no matter what is asked of him. We had no way of knowing that the appearance of a surprised person like him was an important foreshadowing that would lead to the second half, but before we knew it, a drunken scuffle broke out in the hall, and the sound of a gunshot sent the audience into a panic. Entering the state.

During this time, I suddenly met a man and a woman. A man hides a mysterious woman in his home who says, ``My pursuers are trying to kill me.'' A certain secret is revealed there. Apparently, the woman is an intelligence officer who is risking her life on a mission to stop the mysterious spy organization ``Thirty-Nine Steps'' from leaking confidential government information.

However, when she woke up the next morning, a knife was brutally thrust into her back. Is this the work of the organization in question? In that case, it would be dangerous for me to stay here. The man quickly hops on a train and heads for Scotland, relying on the map she was clutching. During the journey, not only the organization but also the police will come after the man as a ``suspect of murdering a woman.'' As a breathtaking chase unfolds over the world heritage site Forth Bridge and the Highland mountains, will he be able to get to the truth and clear his name? ?

If you've looked at the story up to this point and you've come to the conclusion that it's somewhat similar to `` North by Northwest '' (59), then I'm guessing you're quite an expert. According to the famous book `` The Art of Cinema '' (*2), written in the form of a dialogue between Hitchcock and Truffaut, if ``The 39 Steps'' is a collection of works from the British period, ``North by Northwest'' is a collection of works from the American period. It is considered to be a collective work. Moreover, while the former travels from England to Scotland, the latter travels across the United States. You can see quite a few similarities in the story where he meets a destined blonde woman on a train.
