Starts in the middle and ends in the middle

At the time of its release, ``Back to the Future Part. It is a ``movie that starts and ends in the middle'', starting right after Part 1 and ending with a pretense of moving on to Part 3 . That's the reason.

According to Sid Field, a well-known script consultant in the Hollywood film industry, many great films are made using a three-act structure. First, there's the "setting" section that introduces the characters that appear. A "conflict" in which the main character confronts the difficulties that come his way. A “solution” to overcome the difficulties.

If we were to compare ``Back to the Future Part.2'' with this logic, we would first skip the ``setting,'' and the ``conflict'' and ``resolution'' would mix in an avant-garde style, resulting in chaos, and the final ``conflict.'' The movie ends with the presentation of ``Saving Doc, who flew to 1885.'' It cannot really be called a "three-act structure."

However, theories and formulas are constantly being updated.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of films that are designed from the beginning to work as two films, such as `` The Perjury of Solomon '' (15) and `` With God '' (17-18). Some works, such as the ` `Lord of the Rings '' (2001) series, are intended to be a trilogy from the beginning and are shot all at once.

``Back to the Future Part.2'' is created on the premise that you are watching ` `Back to the Future '' first, and it is also based on the premise that you are watching the sequel ` `Back to the Future Part. This is a continuation of ``3 ''. Parts 2 and 3 were filmed at the same time, and the ending of Part 2 included a preview of Part 3, which was incorporated into the main story.

Although it is not unusual now, it was a groundbreaking plan at the time of its release, and it was probably difficult for conservative people, who are always skeptical of new things, to accept it. However, considering that it continues to be loved even after 30 years, it can be said that this judgment was proven correct.
