Pixar has done a lot of anthropomorphism in the past. Insects in `` A Bug's Life '' (1998), cars in `` Cars '' (2006-17), fish in `` Finding Nemo '' (03-16), and emotions in `` Inside Head '' (15)... , `` Toy Story '' (1995). To anthropomorphize means to give humanity. While it generates empathy, it also raises ethical questions. In the Toy Story series, there has been a long discussion about how the toys are not given freedom. Is it okay for a being with humanity to be the property of humans? It would be nice if this were depicted in a way that questions the pros and cons, like the replicants in ` `Blade Runner '' (1982) or the apes in ` `War for the Planet of the Apes'' (17), but in the ``Toy Story'' series so far, , I haven't mentioned that part. Toys are nothing more than objects that are ``used'' by humans. When you say it's real, it's real, but by incorporating the ``heart'' of fantasy into it, it can be seen that a unique horror has come out with each successive work.

That's why this work has a major theme of ``toy independence.'' The reason Bo Peep was revived was probably to play this role. At the same time that Woody's story was not finished, the content that the series was supposed to depict was also left unfinished. The fourth film, which was not originally planned, represents the "end of the beginning." It can be said that not only the story but also the setting of ``toys with personalities'' were settled.

Watching this movie reminded me of Disney's masterpiece `` Pinocchio '' (40). What the puppet with life discovers at the end of its adventure is its true self. Pinocchio's appearance parallels that of Woody, who continues to wander in search of recovering his identity and finding a place to belong.

What does it mean for a ``thing'' that has gained a heart to become ``human-like'' in the true sense of the word? I'm sure this series will be deified with this work. It was such a meaningful and wonderful piece of work that I was convinced of this.
