Is it a big fire now?

"This would probably cause a fire if it happened now." These are my honest thoughts after rewatching ``The Trading Places'' (1983) in order to write this article. However, when it was released, it did not cause any uproar. Although there was some criticism, it received generally positive reviews from critics and was a big hit. At the time, I honestly remember thinking, "This is so funny! Eddie Murphy and Jamie Lee Curtis are the best!" and I still feel that way.

``The Trading Places'' is a comedy film directed by John Landis and Eddie Murphy, who also wrote `` The Coming to America Goes to New York'' (1988), which I wrote about on this site. Winthorpe (Dan Aykroyd), a serious and talented Harvard graduate, and Valentine (Eddie Murphy), a roadside beggar, switch roles overnight.A pair of wealthy old brothers (Don Ameche and Ralph) switch roles overnight. Bellamy). Winthorpe and Valentine's lives are turned Trading Places just because of a millionaire's one-dollar bet!

This story is said to be a modern version of Mark Twain's ``The Prince and the Pauper.'' Speaking of Mark Twain, he is one of America's leading writers, but he is also famous as a humorist (a person with a sense of humor), so much so that the name ``Mark Twain Award'' is given annually to America's leading comedian. The original title ``Trading Places'' has the meaning of switching positions, but it also refers to the (futures) exchange that is one of the settings of this movie.
