Gilbert R. Hill, who played Inspector Todd, is actually a real Detroit detective. With the success of this movie as a springboard, he could have pursued acting, but he appears only in this series and builds a special relationship with Axel.

In the 80s, Eddie Murphy took the world by storm with his first starring role. The proof of that has not faded even today and is clearly visible in "Beverly Hills Cop."
