Drew Barrymore: Glory, Failure, and Resurrection

The main character, Josey, infiltrates a high school with joy, saying, ``I can become The Journalist I've always dreamed of!'' However, Josie had a past where she was given the terrible nickname ``Monster Josie'' during her high school days and was bullied by those around her. Now she has lost a lot of weight and looks fashionable. Even though she is supposed to be ``not the same person anymore,'' her fake school life inevitably brings her back to her past trauma. The film is meant to be a comedy, but it's also a psychological horror story in which 25-year-old Josey finds herself swallowed up by her own nightmares as a teenager.

I mentioned earlier that Drew had some dark times in his career. Steven Spielberg's megahit E.T. (1982) propelled Drew to stardom, but the then 8-year-old quickly fell into the trap of celebrity child stardom, and by the time she was a teenager she was addicted to alcohol and drugs. Due to addiction, he entered a rehabilitation facility at the age of 14. She had tattoos all over her body, got married at the age of 19 and got divorced soon after, and was the subject of gossip magazines for her many misbehaviors and chaotic private life.

However, after taking on several "dirty" roles, she succeeded in restoring her career when she played a high school girl who is murdered at the beginning of " Scream " (1996), and the aforementioned "The Wedding Singer" with Adam Sandler. '', she transformed into an ``innocent romantic comedy actress''. Since not only the United States but the entire world knew about her gossip, it can be said that it was a fairly drastic change in direction.

She started ``Flower Films'' to make the movies she wanted to make. Drew posted a comment on Instagram commemorating the 20th anniversary of the film's ``25th Year Kiss,'' saying, ``If it wasn't for the element of ``pain'' mixed in with the crazy laughter, this work wouldn't have worked.'' ing. That "pain" was also a nightmare that she herself had experienced.
