Pixar Animation Studios is one of the most successful animation studios in the world. Every year, they release high-quality anime works into the world, and in 2020, ``Half the Magic'' and ``Soulful World'' will be released in Japan.

Pixar Animation Studios was originally a division of ILM, founded by director George Lucas, and later acquired by Steve Jobs in 1986 and given the name Pixar. Initially, the company was involved in computer software development, and it took about nine years to produce the first feature film, Toy Story (1995).

However, everyone knows the rapid progress that followed. Today, the Pixar brand is a symbol of ``balance of quality and numbers'' and is a regular presence at the Academy Awards and other film awards. He has always been attracting attention for his creative aspects, including his thoroughness in script writing (it is said that there are 22 rules for creating a good script).

This time, we have selected about 7 titles from such Pixar works and will introduce them in order of release year. In addition, as an extra edition, we will deliver a masterpiece short story guide that combines authorship and sociality.

1. "Toy Story" series (4 works)

``What if toys had a will?'' This is Pixar's representative series that elevates this simple idea into a dramatic ``tear-jerking'' drama. To date, more than 10 films have been produced, including four full-length films, short films, and spin-offs.

This book series depicts the adventures of toys, centering on the cowboy doll Woody and the space ranger action figure Buzz. It has been a great success both in terms of evaluation and performance, and in particular, the third film, ``Toy Story 3'' (2010), was nominated not only for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but also for Best Picture. In addition, the fourth film, Toy Story 4 (2019), grossed over $1.07 billion at the global box office, making it the series' biggest hit (as of August 2020, it ranks second among all Pixar films). By the way, the first film was the first fully CG animated feature film in history, making it a series that left its mark in history in terms of technology.

Basically, the ``Toy Story'' series depicts toys that have been separated from their owners and aim to be reunited, and there are ``victim toys that cannot choose their owners'' (in the first movie), `` "Toys that would rather be collected than played with" (2nd work), "Toys thrown away and tainted with madness" (3rd work), "Toys obsessed with the desire to be played with by children" (4th work) It has a structure that involves the following:

This is, so to speak, a story structure that places more emphasis on the conflicts between the toys due to their "differences in beliefs" than on external enemies. The theme of depicting the "thinking" of toys, which is similar to the fairy tale "Pinocchio," is decisive in "Toy Story 4." The series is said to conclude with the fourth installment, and the shocking ending is still talked about to this day.

One of the strengths of Pixar's works is that they almost always cut into the ``parts of the human heart that hurt when touched.'' Particularly in this ``Toy Story'' series, the secret is that it doesn't just give you any emotion.

When the ``normal'' growth process that ``someday people stop playing with toys'' is depicted from the perspective of toys, a drama of deep sadness is born. And for those of us in the audience who see this, memories with toys from our own lives are recalled, and memories of regret, conflict, and gratitude are recalled. This ``relationship between toys and humans'' has become an important theme throughout the series, and the ``answer'' is finally revealed in the final chapter, ``Toy Story 4.''

The Toy Story series is not only bright and fun, but also has irony that makes the viewer think. I'm sure it will continue to fascinate many people in the future.
