An army of gorillas with too much power

If chimpanzees and orangutans are in charge of ape society's culture and knowledge, gorillas are in charge of armed forces. Gorillas, which are larger and stronger than the two species mentioned above, are basically combatants and make up armies. When humans crash land on the Planet of the Apes, the first thing they see is a shocking sight of gorilla soldiers hunting down and hunting degenerate humans. In the second film, General Ursus faces the worst outcome as he challenges the survivors of humanity hidden in the Forbidden Land, and in the fifth film, General Ursus meets Ape, who has barely coexisted with him after the nuclear war. The belligerent nature of the gorillas often causes trouble, such as when they rebel against human relations, but it is also an element that drives the story. His clothes are purple with a black vest, and his skin is dark and his body hair is black. It is also characterized by being armed with clubs and guns.

Gorillas are portrayed as troublesome and violent individuals, but in the fourth film, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, which depicts a revolution against humanity, and in the reboot trilogy, they are already strong and reliable allies. Chimpanzees and orangutans are not ineffective, but the battle would have been made possible by the presence of gorillas. It is no wonder that these people, who played a role as an important military force, sought a position commensurate with theirs. Gorillas tend to be depicted as being quite bad, but it's important to remember that gorillas in reality are strong but gentle.

Three types of Apes wear three-colored costumes. The origin of the colors of their costumes becomes clear in the fourth film, which depicts them being used as slaves for humans. During slavery, the Apes wore green overalls for chimpanzees, orange for orangutans, and red for gorillas. Even though the costumes were clearly prison uniforms, symbolizing domination and oppression by humanity, even after defeating humanity and dominating the Earth, the Apes incorporated these colors into their clothing, and the three colors made the three species unique. It is painted separately. These three colors symbolized the era of humiliation, and at the same time, it was also the origin and identity of these people who gained intelligence and power.

In this way, the inhabitants of Planet of the Apes maintain a delicate balance. The theme of the series is the relationship between different species, monkeys and humans, but we cannot forget that even within monkeys there are distinct classes and differences. The fact that there are signs of friction in ape society is perhaps what gives it such depth as a story between different species. The differences between each of the monkeys make their characters stand out, and are part of the series' charm, which remains unchanged even after half a century.
