Sarah Connor's ``effortless'' growth

The main character, Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), who is targeted by the T-800, also changes in response to the enemy. At the beginning, she is an ordinary woman working at a restaurant, but she accepts her destiny as the future mother of the savior and grows mentally tough. In terms of her scenes, the intense bed scene that begins after 75 minutes is a turning point. After that act, her ``belief'' to not just ``run away'' but to live becomes stronger within her.

Another interesting item that makes Sarah shine is the ``telephone directory''. T-800 looks up the name "Sarah Connor" in the phone book and kills her from the top of the list. As a result, people on the streets are buzzing about the crime being called ``phone book murder,'' and Sarah is frightened, thinking, ``It's my turn next.'' This situation easily evokes an image in the audience, ``If I were in the same situation...'', and this strengthens the sense that ``Sarah is an ordinary person like us.''

In addition, Sara is portrayed as an overall dull character, unable to remember orders at the restaurant where she works, throwing food at the customers, and being left alone by her boyfriend, who spends her ``kakin'' alone. Even in a direct confrontation with the T-800, ``escape'' is basically the top priority. However, what is really impressive is that Sarah's mission is to "live." She must survive and give birth to a savior. Since the goal was not to "defeat" the T-800 from the beginning, the act of escaping is allowed. It's a strange setting that creates a situation where the audience doesn't dislike it.

Helen (Jamie Lee Curtis) in `` True Lies '' (1994) directed by James Cameron, and heroines in recent movies such as `` Surprise '' (11) and `` Captain Marvel '' (19). Many works have been produced in which characters "awaken" in the movie, but Sarah's growth in "The Terminator" is gradual even in extreme situations (which is why " Terminator 2: Judgment Day " shines even more).

We will continue to cherish the original, life-sized image of a woman and build up her growth step by step. This natural change can also be said to be a major factor in creating so many fans.
