Documentary by Peter Jackson in progress
Not only the movie industry but also music fans around the world were shocked when director Peter Jackson, the visual wizard known for his work on the Lord of the Rings series, announced the production of a new film at the end of January 2019. A new documentary film will be created based on 55 hours of never-before-seen footage and 140 hours of audio from the filming of The Beatles' final film, ``Let It Be,'' in the 1960s. “Let It Be” preview
``Let It Be'' was released in the UK in May 1970 and was planned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the film's release. Little has been reported about the progress since then, but in early January of this year, a fan blog discovered that pre-orders for a hardcover book titled "Get Back: The Beatles" had begun on Amazon in the UK and the US. . The release date on Amazon is October 15th. According to the article, they received information from the publisher that the book is ``an official book that will be published in conjunction with the Peter Jackson movie scheduled to be released this fall.''
This has led to speculation that the movie will probably be released around October and that the English title will be ``Get Back: The Beatles.''
