An original song made only for one song

By the way, in this work, there was only one original song that competed. That is “Come What May”.

This song, which gradually takes shape towards the end, has a powerful Arrival: ``No matter what fate awaits me, I will continue to love you.'' The finish is excellent. Coupled with the great performances of the two lead actors, the emotion these scenes brought was immeasurable. Naturally, fans expected this song to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, but as it turned out... it wasn't nominated.

"Come What Ma"

There is a reason for this. “Come What May” was originally written for Luhrmann’s previous album “ Romeo & Juliet ” (1996), but was left unused. That's probably why the creator wanted to perform this song with such confidence at ``Moulin Rouge!'' as long as possible. However, this ended up violating the rules of the Academy Awards. As a result, although it was nominated for several Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, it did not receive any nominations in the Best Original Song category.

However, it is interesting, and when you approach the main story knowing this background, the presence of this song becomes even more prominent, and you can enjoy the composition of this work again.

Approximately 20 years have passed since its theatrical release. Whether you've seen it dozens of times or this is your first time, why not pay attention to this song and immerse yourself in the gorgeous story? The words "This story is about TRUTH, BEAUTY, FREEDOM, But above all LOVE." that appears at the end of the end credits will no doubt sink into your heart even more deeply and beautifully.
