Fans' comments from the internet enlivened the shooting

Jackson wasn't the only one fascinated by the title "Snakes on a Plane." As soon as the production announcement became news, many movie fans were hooked. Rather than having an easy-to-understand title, many people sensed the strong flavor of a B-movie. It has become a bit of a festival on the internet, with quick-witted fans creating anime trailers and merchandise.

That's why there was an uproar when, midway through production, the production company announced that the title would be changed to "Pacific Air 121" (=the name of a passenger flight). For the production team, there was a reason for the title change. Some of the staff hired on location lost interest the moment they heard the title ``Snakes on a Plane.'' If a silly title were to have a negative impact on the morale of internal staff, it would be a big problem for the production side. So it was decided to change the title, but fans online shouted, "Don't change the title!"

The producers wanted to take advantage of this online buzz. The scenario is that after letting the fans' criticisms go for a while, Jackson declares, ``I have no intention of appearing in a movie with that title,'' and then changes the title back to ``Snakes on a Plain.'' In the end, this worked. The lead star received cheers from fans, and the movie gained even more attention.

Of course, the producers of the movie also checked the opinions of fans online and tried to reflect them in the content of the movie. Director David R. Ellis admits that the decision to make the film an R-rated film was inspired by fan feedback. Jackson also said, ``The excitement online helped support the filming.''

They willingly went among the fans, liked the T-shirts that were made and sold by fans who were angry about the title change, and bought them. In a sense, ``Snakes on a Plane'' can be said to be a movie that was created together by the people involved in the production and the fans. The film, released in the United States, took the number one spot on the weekend box office charts.
