“I don’t like big breasts, I have a foot fetish!”

Oh, the Russ Meyer festival! I vividly remember almost exclaiming this when I first saw Quentin Tarantino's 2007 masterpiece Death Proof. This film was shot as part of the ``Grindhouse'' project, which imitates American movie theaters (or screening formats) that screen low-budget B-movies from the 1960s to the 1980s at a bargain price, as if on sale. The one that was given.

Russ Meyer (born 1922 - died 2004) was a genius who was popular as an independent entertainment film director who featured eroticism and violence. Tarantino himself served as the director of photography for ``Death Proof,'' and the composition, which captures large bad girls with camera work that looks down from below, is reminiscent of Mayer's masterpiece ``Fastest Pussycat Kill! kill! (65) and " Super Vixen " (75), which were reminiscent of depictions of the female body.

“Death Proof” preview

When I interviewed Tarantino himself, who was in Japan at the time of the movie's release, he said, ``If it was Russ, his eyes would probably go to big breasts (lol). In my case, it's not breasts, but legs. ” I was told. I see, that's right! ``Also, this time we had a basic premise of following the grindhouse style, so it was essential to gather sexy girls. The first half is set in Austin, Texas, and it's really hot. So all the girls are doing is buying T-shirts and shorts from vintage stores, designing them however they like and wearing them."
