Appointment of Rooney Mara planned by Fincher

Casting the role of Lisbeth was of paramount importance to David Fincher in creating a ``sickening feminist fable about a woman destroying a male-dominated society.'' A genius hacker with an amazing memory who dresses in punk fashion with piercings and tattoos all over his body. Given that she has been oppressed by men for a long time, she is required to be physically vulnerable.

Scarlett Johansson is too sexy and Jennifer Lawrence is too tall. Fincher set out to find Lisbeth based on her criteria: ``165 cm tall, slim and delicate, and around 25 years old.'' Carrie Mulligan, Ellen Page, Natalie Portman, Mia Wasikowska, Emily Browning, Kristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway, Eva Green, Sarah Snook, Emma Watson... A long list of actresses was listed, but Fincher ultimately chose Rooney Mara.

She played the role of Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend in The Social Network (2010) and was highly praised by Fincher, but she is still not well-known enough to play the title The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.. She has appeared in popular works such as `` Carol '' ( 2015), ``LION' ' (16), and ` `A Ghost Story '' (17), and is recognized as a top actress. is a little further on. For the studio, which cares about name value, it was a difficult casting to accept.

Fincher comes up with a plan to convince the studio to hire her. He made her drink alcohol until she vomited, and while she was hungover and dizzy, he took her portrait for an audition. Her face was pale and she looked as if she was exhausted from life, just like Lisbeth. That's how Rooney Mara landed this big role.

Her approach to the role was intense. In order to make her body more bony, she lost even more weight even though she was already thin. The ear, eyebrow, lip, and nipple piercings are all real, not imitations. In the scene where she is raped, she acted so physically that she got bruises all over her body. David Fincher has managed to get Lisbeth exactly what he wanted.
