“3” is the most criticized in the series.

It's been 40 years since the " Alien " series was born. The extra editions of the `` Alien VS Predator '' (2004) series and the prequels `` Prometheus '' (12) and `` Alien: Covenant '' (17) all attracted the attention of science fiction fans; It's only possible because of the series. However, not all four works were acclaimed as masterpieces. The third film was probably the one that received the most criticism when it was released. At the time, I asked a lot of people what they thought, but I don't remember anyone saying that it was interesting. I also remember that some people went so far as to call it blasphemy against the previous work.

“Alien³” preview

It wasn't just the audience who thought it was terrible. In 2004, the DVD-BOX `` Alien 25th Anniversary Collection '' containing the complete version of the four series was released. The main story had an audio commentary, but for some reason ``3'' was not included. After watching the making of ``3'', I understood why. A line from the staff at the beginning: ``Everyone involved suffered a painful experience. (Producing this film) was a losing battle.'' None of the producers liked this movie.

When I previously interviewed director David Fincher, I asked him about Alien 3, and he said, ``That wasn't my directorial work. I couldn't do what I wanted to do at all. It's different from `` Seven '' (1995). ” he said firmly.

But is it really that bad of a movie? Actually, I don't dislike its unique atmosphere. No, it's one of the most grotesque horrors in the series, and I actually like it. Here I will go behind the scenes of the production and defend(?) this work.
