"Blinded by the Light" An exhilarating 80's youth movie where Bruce Springsteen's lyrics update a boy's world.

The words of the main character that moved Springsteen himself.

The film is based on a memoir by Sarfraz Manzoor, a journalist working for the British newspaper The Guardian. In other words, it is based on a true story.

Director Gurinder Chadha is a longtime friend of Manzoor's and was keen to adapt the memoir into a film, with a must-have being the inclusion of Springsteen's music.

By chance, the two were invited to the premiere of Springsteen's documentary. As they waited by the side of the red carpet, Springsteen suddenly approached Manzoor and said, "Your book was amazing." He happened to be reading Manzoor's memoir. Things progressed smoothly from there, and the film became a unique work that features Springsteen's songs throughout.

Encouraged by Springsteen's words, Manzoor speaks his own words out into the world, which then return to Springsteen. As a result, Manzoor's words become a film and are spread around the world. Words can certainly change the world. This film is proof of that.
