The “emptiness” that cannot be reduced to words is the essence of conflict.

As a result of the fierce battles of these staff members, a veritable ``Picture of Inferno'' was created, and the images conveyed the tragedy of the battle more strongly than words. Ridley Scott says:

``We aimed to create ``Black Hawk Down'' in a way that would allow the audience sitting in the front row to feel a sense of oneness with the soldiers throughout. If the outcome is tragic, that was by design; It stems from a sense of respect for the soldiers who participated.'' (*2)

Director Scott himself expressed his support for ``The Battle of Mogadishu'' as an act of justice in which the United States alone took action against the conflict in Somalia, which the international community had been silently watching, and described it as an expression of the production of this film. ).

However, the storm of violence unleashed by this film, which dazzles the viewer's eyes, rejects any one-sided ideology or argument. Occasionally, movie fans will casually express a collective fantasy such as ``I want to watch a war movie that is all about the action from beginning to end,'' but when they actually see a movie that makes this reality a reality, it makes them want to cover their entire bodies. The feeling of emptiness is indescribable. Critics in his home country must have felt a similar impression. This is summarized in the ``Newsweek'' heading mentioned in the opening chapter.
