East Africa, 1993. In Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, where civil war continues, the armed group Idit is obstructing UN peacekeeping activities. In order to eliminate them, the US-led special forces carry out an operation to capture Idit leaders. The plan was flawless, and the mission was supposed to be completed in just 60 minutes.

However, shortly after the mission begins, the Special Forces' latest helicopter Black Hawk is hit by an enemy RPG missile gun and goes down (crashing), forcing the mission to change to rescuing the crew. Thousands of militiamen attack the troops mercilessly, and even Somali tribes start a riot, and the American soldiers are dragged into a 15-hour Inferno street battle.
