Many kung fu movie homages

``Aobatei'', where members of ``Bride'' and Crazy 88 fight to the death, has a luxurious structure with an open dance floor in the center and a corridor on the second floor. This is the same structure as the inns that double as restaurants that appear in Hong Kong action/wuxia movies such as King Fu's works. In these works, wire work and trampolines are used to move between the first and second floors, creating three-dimensional action scenes that were also designed in ``Kill Bill: Vol. 1''. By the way, the Korean casino that appears in the MCU `` Black Panther '' (18) also imitates the structure of this corridor, and the action moves between the upper and lower floors.

One of Crazy 88's weapons, the hatchet, was a weapon often used by the so-called "mob characters" who attacked the main characters in 70's Kung Fu movies. In Chow Sing-chi's `` Kung Fu Hustle '' (2004), the villain's henchmen use hatchets as weapons, and as the name suggests, they are an ``axe club''.

By the way, ``Kung Fu Hustle'' is also a work full of references to past kung fu movies, and the housing complex ``Pig Shack Fort'' that is the setting has a structure with an atrium in the center, just like ``Aobatei''. Also, the master of Tai Chi is Yun Wah, who served as Bruce Lee's stunt double in `` Enter the Dragon '' (1973). The hand Signs that his wife, the tobacconist, threatens the villainous boss in her car is a perfect copy of the one Bruce Lee showed to the villainous boss in The Way of the Dragon (1972).

The scene in which ``Bride'' uses a sword as a mirror to see the enemy behind her is a quote from ``DEADLY CHINA DOLL'' (1973/original title ``Black Road'') starring female action star Angela Mao. Angela is best known for playing Bruce Lee's sister in ``Enter the Dragon''. At that time, Japan's Toei planned to invite Angela to make a movie, and a script was written by Norifumi Suzuki, director of the `` Truck Yaro '' series, but the invitation itself was rejected and the script was written by Etsuko Shihomi. She starred in the movie `` Onna Hissatsuken '' (1974).
