The appeal of kung fu movies that attracted Tarantino

One of the charms of kung fu movies that appeal to Quentin Tarantino so much is that they encompass all genres.

For example, the story of Bruce Lee's ``Enter the Dragon'' is a spy story, and Jet Li's `` Shaolin Temple '' (1982) is a historical story. Donnie Yen's `` Donnie Yen COOL '' (1998) is a picaresque film with a killer as the main character. Jackie Chan's `` Gorgeous '' (1999) takes the classic route of romance.

Even though it encompasses so many genres, there are some things they have in common. Paradoxically, all kung fu movies depict kung fu fights.

If it's just a suspense movie or a melodrama movie, the movie may end without anything remarkable happening. However, in a kung fu movie, the suspicion of a mystery is expressed with a strong blow, and in a melodrama, the passionate love is expressed with a sharp kick. Ideas and concepts are expressed in a thrilling, cinematic exchange of blows.

``Kung Fu movies'' encompass and transcend almost all genres, transcend language, cultural, and generational differences, and are made with ultimate communication, conveying their message to the viewer without asking. Tarantino, who loves genre films from all over the world, would want to add this to his filmography. It could be said that it was natural.
