``Fatal Attraction'' Was the idea accepted? Was it rejected? The reason for the hit based on the ending controversy *Note! Contains spoilers.

The two different endings added value to the work.
Although the production team was initially satisfied with this phantom ending, the reaction at the public preview screening was not positive. Ironically, many in the audience expressed intense anger and rejection of the monster named Alex, who was wonderfully realized by Glenn Close's excellent performance, and wanted a more intense and easy-to-understand ending. In this way, a new ending was retaken, and the movie was released into theaters as a psychological horror that satisfied many viewers and made men realize the great cost of cheating.
I still remember the comments made at a press conference by Michael Douglas, who came to Japan to promote his work. When asked by a reporter, ``What would you do if you were approached by a sexy woman like Alex?'', he answered: ``Hurry up and put the strawberry between your legs.'' Needless to say, the venue was buzzing. That was probably the correct comment for the lead actor, and I think his immediate reversal was the perfect addition to the movie's depiction of the tit-for-tat retaliation of desire and the importance of a peaceful life.

Even though it was problematic from a feminist perspective, ``A Fatal Attraction'' followed the methodology of a movie that was bound to be a hit, and achieved a huge success that will go down in history. By the way, Glenn Close, whose realistic performance in which she is driven into madness from loneliness and anger, earned her the title of popular actress in addition to the title of a talented actress, fiercely resisted the ending of the released version, but at the same time He commented as follows:
``The ending provides catharsis and hope for the audience, who are moved to see a family unit overcome a nightmare.'' Director Adrian Lyne was also positive about the reshot version. In this work, Lyne makes full use of the dark and shadowy lighting he cultivated in commercials, especially in the depiction of the loft-style apartment where Alex lives. He is also one of those who solidified his status as a hit maker with this work.
The unforgettable, shocking ending and the phantom ending, which is too well-known to be described as "unknown," combine in a sense to create a blockbuster hit that is still talked about to this day. It is highly possible that the outcome could have changed depending on the era. I think one of the appeals of ``Fatal Attraction'' is that it reminds us of Hollywood's clever strategy, including whether the ending is right or wrong.
