In the original script for ``John Wick,'' the main character was set to be in his mid-60s, but the head of the production company expressed his desire to cast a ``veteran'' in the film industry rather than using a veteran actor in his 60s. As a result, the script was rewritten with Keanu in mind. Moreover, in the original script, the kill count was only 3.

At the beginning of the movie, there is a scene where Russians break into John Wick's house, but when the movie was released in 2014, a female stalker broke into Keanu's house while he was sleeping. Keanu calmly persuades her and calls the police. He was arrested without incident. In synchronization with these roles, the character of John Wick became one with Keanu himself.
