The pleasure of the moment when the story and background become one

Salzburg, Austria on the eve of World War II. The heroine, Maria, who was not suited to be a nun, liberates the Trapp family from their military-like discipline and revives them with song and humor. The process of Maria's presence bringing unity back to a family that had forgotten the warmth of family is spelled out along with the famous song. The search for a place where a person can shine as a person, the endless possibilities of music that has been forgotten, the fear and courage of love, etc. This story teaches the audience many things.

The second half, which includes an intermission, completely changes from the fun of the first half and explores the importance of ideology and peace. However, even that was overshadowed by the spectacular views of the Alps. A movie that begins in the sky returns to the sky at the end. At that moment, the background, which was skillfully linked to the story, became one, and I felt as if I was being sucked into the sky. I feel like this is exactly why ``The Sound of Music'' is timeless.

After the movie was released, fans from all over the world flocked to Salzburg, and I hear that tours of the filming locations are still popular. Some enthusiasts have visited Salzburg dozens of times on their own, discovering new filming locations and updating their knowledge. In other words, The Sound of Music is still running.
