This is a first-class science fiction action blockbuster that allows you to enjoy the Cameron world that followed ``Terminator 2: Judgment Day'' and ``Avatar.''

A science fiction masterpiece in the style of a fake documentary created by the up-and-comer Neill Blomkamp. From the setting in which Alien who come to Earth as refugees are isolated to the metaphors of racism that are imprinted into the story, everything about this work is innovative and excellent. Blomkamp's storytelling is also quite competent, reminiscent of James Cameron's. Despite being the director's first feature, the film was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

James Cameron's breakthrough work. The setting of a murder machine coming from the future, the simple pursuit drama, and the absolute character of The Terminator all made this movie a masterpiece. Schwarzenegger, who played The Terminator who never dies and chases after you no matter how many times you defeat him, instantly became a top star with this movie. Despite the low budget of B-grade science fiction, Cameron, who led this film to become a worldwide hit, quickly rose to become a top director.

7th place: “Guardians of the Galaxy” (14) Director: James Gunn 125 minutes

Robert Downey Jr., aka Iron Man, called it ``the best Marvel movie in history,'' and Spielberg said it was ``the most moving superhero movie.'' As expected, Marvel directed by James Gunn, and in addition to Gunn's famous array of jaw-dropping gags, the selection of songs with deep meaning is also wonderful. And most of all, in the end, the bond between the friends moves me to tears. This is truly a masterpiece of a new era of science fiction movies.

This time, The Terminator T-800, who was the enemy last time, becomes an ally, and the new The Terminator T-1000 attacks, which is both surprising and extremely interesting, and the movie shows a dizzying development amidst a flurry of action. The depiction of the liquid metal T-1000, which was created using cutting-edge CG and VFX at the time, was also wonderful, and this film, which cost $100 million, more than 10 times the production cost of the previous film, became a worldwide hit. When you think of science fiction movies and time slips, this is it! This work is so famous. The story revolves around a number of incidents caused by time paradoxes, and the story is driven by the cleverness of this setting. The ending is a thrilling series of thrills, which is the best part of the movie! It's an interesting piece of work, to say the least. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, this is one of Spielberg's films that is in the spirit of the 1980s. No matter how many times I look back at it, I find something new, and it's a perfect piece of work.

H.R. Giger's nightmarish world leaves a strong impact on the viewer, and will never leave your mind. The realistic setting of an unidentified Alien attacking in a closed space and a corporate spaceship further amplifies the fear. A masterpiece of science fiction horror that also created an incredibly frightening scene in which an Alien bursts through the chest. This is only his second feature film as a director, and Ridley Scott's natural sense is nothing short of flattering.

A dark and gloomy near future where acid rain is pouring down. Ridley Scott overturned the image of a bright future filled with hope and created a dystopia. The overflowing Asian taste and dirty cityscape are all innovative, and will have a great influence on later works. Coupled with elements of film noir and an android searching for its identity, its overwhelming worldview has become legendary.

2nd place: Star Wars (77) Director: George Lucas 121 minutes
This is a monumental sci-fi film that needs no introduction. Its existence has transcended the boundaries of film and it is no exaggeration to say that it has become a part of the culture that represents America and capitalism. The world view of a worn-out and dirty spaceship, which overturned the concept of sci-fi films up to that point, was surprising, and the story of good triumphing over evil centered on a family story greatly entertained people all over the world. It is truly the greatest entertainment in history.

The origin and the apex. It's hard to believe that it was made over 50 years ago, and its overwhelming quality is just as good even now, and is unrivaled. Without this movie, the history of science fiction movies would have been different. A historical work that shines brightly in the history of film. If you ever have the opportunity to see it on a big screen like IMAX, don't miss it. It is such a great work.

How was it? I'm sure many of you have already seen these 30 carefully selected works, but they're all wonderful works that you won't get tired of no matter how many times you watch them.
