A true delinquent movie where "FUCK!" is shouted once every 50 seconds
``Scarface'' (1983), which depicts the story of Tony Montana (Al Pacino), a young man from Cuba, who reigns as a drug lord, until his self-destruction, is a true delinquent movie that is truly terrifying.
What's amazing is the number of times "FUCK!" is shouted repeatedly in the movie. That number was 197 times! Since the running time is 170 minutes, that means you'll be screaming "FUCK!" about once every 50 seconds. When it was released in 1983, it was the movie that featured the word "FUCK!" the most. In 2011, to commemorate the release of the Blu-ray version of "Scarface," a special trailer called "FUCK'in Trailer" featuring only "FUCK!" was created.
“Scarface” preview
The violent scenes where he brutally murders people with an electric saw are also amazing. Due to its extreme nature, the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) gave Scarface an X rating (adult film). In response to this, director Brian De Palma re-edited the film, but the result was still rated X. Even after the second and third re-edits, the X rating remained unchanged, and De Palma, furious, refused to edit any further. A real drug official was invited to a meeting with the MPAA, and he said, ``This movie accurately depicts the reality of the drug underground and was made as an anti-drug movie. You should have it," he insisted.
As a result, we managed to get an R rating (those under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent), but the bottom line is that the violence in Scarface was as bad as an adult film! It's an episode worthy of the name of a true delinquent movie.
