A spectacular independent project by a video magician
It wasn't nominated for an Academy Award or a Golden Globe, much less a box office hit. However, when I came face to face with this work, I was drawn in by the overwhelming visual power, and I intuitively realized that this would be a work that I would never forget.
``The Fall'' (2006), the second feature-length work by Tarsem Singh, a video creator with a background in commercials, is a work that cannot be measured using existing measuring sticks. At the time of its release, the creator's tenacity was conveyed through the overwhelming visuals that filled the theater screen with almost no use of CG, but when we later dug deeper into the story behind the scenes, we found even more deviations from common sense. come.
“The Fall” preview
The project took more than 20 years to plan and was filmed in over 24 countries. Raising funds for such an inexhaustible project was extremely difficult, and despite its scale, production proceeded without any major companies involved. Tarsem himself seems to have been working on this project from the beginning, viewing it as an independent project or his life's work.
The great despair in my life led to the creation of this film.
