Director George Miller was inspired by Joseph Campbell's "Hero's Journey" theory when he created the heroic plot of "The Road Warrior." Through "The Road Warrior," Miller has unintentionally had an inspiring influence on many creators and artists in later generations.
For example, Buronson, the author of the popular manga " Fist of the North Star " (published by Shueisha), cites this work "The Road Warrior" as a reference, alongside Bruce Lee movies. It seems that much of the worldview of "Fist of the North Star", the costumes of the characters, and the personality of the main character Kenshiro were inspired by "The Road Warrior".
Waterworld (1995), often referred to as the sea version of Mad Max , was also said to have been heavily influenced by The Road Warrior, according to co-writer David Neil Twohy (incidentally, both The Road Warrior and Waterworld shared the same cinematographer, Dean Semler).

The influence of this work is not limited to movies and manga, but can also be seen in its enormous influence on the video The Game industry. The classic video The Game"Fallout" series is set in a near future where a nuclear war has broken out and global civilization has been destroyed, and the influence of "The Road Warrior" is most clearly felt in its worldview.
Speaking of video The Game, Hideo Kojima, a world-renowned video The Game creator, has said that "The Road Warrior" has had an enormous impact on his creative endeavors, and that it is one of his all-time favorites.
Guillermo del Toro, a film director who is close friends with Kojima, also praised this work, and David Fincher, the genius behind " Seven " (1995), selected it as his best work. There are countless other creators who adore this work, including Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron.
Even if you just take a quick look at the works and people that influenced it, there are so many examples that you can't help but be amazed at the greatness of this film. Has there ever been a movie that has been loved so much before? The power of "The Road Warrior" should be applicable in the future.
