An overwhelming end-of-the-century action story presented on an extraordinary scale!
The success of the previous film, `` Mad Max '' (1979), opened Australian films to a global market. The film was able to overcome the budget constraints of 350,000 Australian dollars - or 400,000 Australian dollars, but in any case it is cheap for a movie production cost - with outstanding creativity and ingenuity, and the movie became a shock sensation all over the world. It was received with praise. That impact still inspires and excites many creators both in Japan and abroad.
Director George Miller immediately began work on a sequel following the commercial and critical success of Mad Max. Three sequels have been produced so far, and among them, the second film, The Road Warrior(1981), has had a tremendous influence on later generations of culture in general. The production cost was approximately 10 times higher (4 million Australian dollars), and the film is depicted on an overwhelming scale that exceeds all of its predecessors.

In this world, oil determines the value of everything. People travel through the wilderness in search of oil, and are sometimes forced into bloody conflicts. Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson), a lone wolf who has lost the will to live and wanders in the wilderness, also finds himself thrown into a gruesome battle over oil...
