A beautiful actor who suddenly became a “person of the hour”



What further determined the perfection of this work was the casting of the actor who played Jodi's lover. How did Fergus discover this beautiful and dainty being who was drawn to him from the moment he laid eyes on her?


Director Neil Jordan apparently consulted Stanley Kubrick, who was close to him at the time, about casting him, but he said, ``No matter how many years you spend, you'll never find someone who meets all of the criteria you listed.'' Apparently he was admonished.

However, the staff did not give up and continued to visit clubs all over London. In the end, he learned about an unknown talent from the master Derek Jarman. When the staff actually met her, they found that although she had no experience in acting, her beauty and special presence were so overwhelming that no one else could match her.


Jay Davidson, who was cast in this role for the first time, received such high praise that he was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in this film. He then appeared in Roland Emmerich's blockbuster ` `Stargate '' (1994), but it seems that he had no attachment to acting in the first place, and after that he simply retired from acting.
