“The All the Money in the World” synopsis

In 1973, Paul, the grandson of Jean Paul Getty, who was recognized by Guinness as the world's richest man, was kidnapped in Rome and a ransom of 5 billion yen was demanded. However, Getty, who was also a rare miser, flatly refused to pay. Paul's mother Gail, who had left the Getty family due to a divorce, was unable to make payments. The group of culprits becomes paralyzed by the fact that there is no sign of payment, and Paul is in danger. Getty still doesn't pay, the police begin to suspect Kyogen kidnapping, and media coverage heats up. The only difference is that ``Law of Evil'' was an original story written by Cormac McCarthy, while ``The All the Money in the World'' is based on an actual incident, and it leaves viewers with an unusual story that surpasses that of fiction. It brings a shock.


However, what caught the attention of the audience even more than these details was probably a production accident in which the lead actor was changed just before the film was completed. Initially, the role of Getty in this film was played by Kevin Spacey, the famous actor of `` The Usual Suspects '' (1995) and ` `Baby Driver '' (17).
