What the stage town reminded Tony Scott of

Once again, ``Unstoppable'' is 98 minutes lean, full of rush and momentum, and yet refreshingly refreshing. It never ceases to bring a sense of fulfillment and smiles to the viewers. Who among the people involved and the fans could have imagined that this would be his farewell work to Tony Scott?

While listening to the audio commentary for this movie, there was one part that made me startle. Commenting on the scenery of an industrial area in Pennsylvania, which is one of the settings, Tony said, ``What an eye-opening scene. It resembles the northeastern part of England where I grew up, and it feels like a remnant of the industrial revolution.'' .It really reminds me of my hometown.''

After hearing this, I had something in mind that made me want to go back to Tony Scott's original work. It is ``The Boy and the Bicycle'' (65), which is known as the first work that his older brother Ridley worked on in his life.

In this short story, which is included as a bonus feature on Ridley's ` `The Duellists '' (1977) DVD, a boy who has just turned 16 rides a bicycle while thinking about various things between the psychological gap between an adult and a child. I run through it. The main character is played by 16-year-old Tony Scott, who was still a nobody at the time.

The entire story depicts the cityscape of Hartlepool in northeastern England. It's unclear whether this is the exact scenery of the "hometown" that Tony was talking about in the audio commentary, but it's definitely in the northeast of England. The vast industrial area, smoke rising from chimneys, and the smell of rusted iron are also impressive. By the way, Ridley and Tony both studied art at Hartlepool University.
