A bond that began with “American Graffiti”
As mentioned in the previous article , Ron Howard, who directed ``Solo: A Star Wars Story,'' and George Lucas, the creator of the ``Star Wars'' series, worked together to direct Lucas in 1973. They worked together for the first time on their second film, `` American Graffiti .'' Howard, who had already appeared in numerous television dramas and movies as a child actor, was an exceptionally well-known actor for a low-budget film that could not cast a star, while the rest of the cast, including lead actor Richard Dreyfuss, were virtually unknown. Among them was Harrison Ford, who played Bob, who wore a cowboy hat.
While filming American Graffiti, Howard asked the director about his plans for his next film. "I want to make a big science fiction movie," Lucas reportedly said. A movie set in space like `` Flash Gordon, '' and a movie with the grandeur, realistic special effects, and speed of Kubrick's `` 2001: A Space Odyssey .'' This idea came to fruition in 1977 as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope .
“Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope” preview
40 years The Day After. Now, as director, Howard will be in charge of the latest installment of Lucas' original series. During the filming of the Millennium Falcon scene, Lucas, now in the role of "creative advisor," visited the set. The visit was supposed to be just to say hello to Howard, but it ended up being 5 hours. Additionally, Lucas came up with an idea for how Han (Alden Ehrenreich) would act, and Howard was more than happy to go with it. I'm curious to know exactly which part it is, but unfortunately it hasn't been revealed.
