Why is this movie so loved by people?The reason is that it makes everyone believe that the earthly paradise "Zihuatanejo" that appears in the movie exists, just as Andy risked his life to realize it. Isn't it because they give it to me? And I think it's because it makes us think that everyone has a past to atone for and a future to be freed from.

A sure hope worth believing in to live life. I feel like this is the reason why ``The Shawshank Redemption'' continues to resonate with people for so long.
