Directed by Billy Wilder, who has worked on numerous masterpieces, and co-starring Humphrey Bogart, the film was blessed with a stellar staff and cast, and was a big hit following Roman Holiday Holiday. The heroine, Sabrina, has an unrequited love for the second son of the wealthy Larrabee family, whose father works as a driver. In order to get rid of her unrequited love, she goes to study abroad at a cooking school in Paris and returns as a sophisticated and beautiful woman. The eight-quarter length pants worn by Audrey in the film were a big hit under the name ``Sabrina Pants.'' In addition, Le Cordon Bleu, where Sabrina studied abroad, is a real cooking school, and it is said that its popularity rose as a result of this work.
