Tiffany Jewelry and Audrey
Dimly lit Fifth Avenue in New York. Before the sun rises, the bluish skyscrapers are still asleep. A yellow cab slowly slid into the distance, coming to a gentle stop near the entrance to the Tiffany Jewelry store on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street. When the door opened, Audrey Audrey appeared in a little black dress. She stood on the edge of the sidewalk and slowly looked up at Tiffany's store...
``Breakfast at Tiffany's'' (61), which shines brightly in the history of cinema, opens with this impressive dawn sequence and the elegant music of master Henry Mancini.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 2, 1960, the first day of filming began right here on Fifth Avenue in front of the Tiffany Jewelry store. Fifth Avenue under the sunrise is so quiet that the usual hustle and bustle seems to be a lie. However, it is. The sun will soon rise and it will soon be illuminated by the morning sun. We only have a few hours until the sun rises. Moreover, on this day, then-Prime Minister of the Soviet Union Nikita Khrushchev was scheduled to visit Fifth Avenue at 7:30. Shooting must be completed by then. There wasn't much time left.
"Breakfast at Tiffany's" preview
Audrey, played by Ms. Holly Golightly, exits the cab, walks to a jewelry store window, drinks coffee from a paper bag, and nibbles on a Danish pastry. What she is looking at through the glass is a precious bracelet created by Jean Schlumberger, a jewelry artist working for Tiffany & Co. The next thing I saw while eating Danish was a small chandelier. A beautiful brooch is hanging there.
These displays were designed by Tiffany & Co.'s legendary window designer Gene Moore. This film brought his display works to a global audience for the first time. As the title suggests, after Breakfast at Tiffany's, Audrey returns home to her fashionable brown sandstone residence.
Thus, this sequence on the first day of filming with Tiffany Jewelry and Audrey overcame the sudden difficulties and was completed before the sun even rose. As an aside, Tiffany later opened a cafe inside its Fifth Avenue main store, making the experience worthy of its title ``Breakfast at Tiffany's'' possible after more than half a century.
