It goes without saying that James Bond is an example, but as a spy, appearance is important. This is because it is a tool to clearly show off your status to your enemies. In `` Kingsman: The Secret Service '' (2014), Harry, played by Colin Firth, says, ``The suit is the modern version of armor.''

All the spies in the movie are perfectly dressed. Why not learn how to wear a suit from them?

Director: Christopher Nolan Cast: John David Washington, Robert Pattinson

In the movie, Lord Crosby, played by Michael Caine, tells the ``nameless man'' played by John David Washington, ``If you're going to call yourself a billionaire (to carry out an important mission), Brooks Brothers is the best. No,” he says bitterly. Although it is a long-established American traditional clothing store, Lord Crosby's true intention is that even new office workers can't get enough of standard suits that lack individuality.

The "nameless man" who receives Lord Crosby's credit card takes a turn and appears in the next scene wearing a three-piece suit made of silver sharkskin. Washington's not-so-muscular upper body has an excellent fit that makes his upper body look V-shaped, and the sexy lines of his slacks that make his hips look high are typical European styles that are the opposite of American traditional styles.

Conversely, Robert Pattinson's Neil's wardrobe is looser and more free. In the scene where she scouts Freeport, she appears in a double-breasted (two rows of buttons) pinstripe suit, and in another scene, she appears in a tattered suit with a wrinkled stole tied around her neck. These pieces can be said to be a symbol of Neil's lifestyle of moving freely through time and space. Clothes are a reflection of the way we live.

Jeffrey Kurland received the concept for this film from director Christopher Nolan and translated it into costume design that is directly connected to the theme. He is a veteran who has previously worked with Nolan on `` Inception '' (2010) and `` Dunkirk '' (2017).

Kurland is said to have followed the timeless dandyism of James Bond, played by Sean Connery. If you rewatch `` Tenet '' with the suit he selected, you may discover something new.
