Many famous characters such as the murderer Michael Myers from `` Halloween '' (1978), the legendary dark hero Snake Plissken from `` Escape from New York '' (81), and the Monster Spiderhead from ``Object X '' (1982). Do you know the people you have brought into this world? That person is director John Carpenter, the king of horror movies who enjoys cult popularity for his science fiction and horror works.
He is still one of the master craftsmen loved by many movie fans, and is also active as a musician, having composed the music for the latest work of the legendary horror film, ``Halloween,'' ` `Halloween Kills '' (21). Carpenter's enthusiastic fans include J.J. Abrams, The Game Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, and Edgar Wright. The Game designer Hideo Kojima and all the Big names are geniuses.
It is said that Carpenter aspired to become a film director after being influenced by Howard Hawks's ``Object X'' (51). In 1968, he enrolled in the School of Cinematic Arts at the prestigious University of Southern California, and while he was still there, he edited and composed the music for ``The Resurrection of Bronco Billy'' (1970), which won the Academy Award for Best Short Film. He also independently produced a science fiction short film, which he later remade as Dark Star (1974). This is Carpenter's feature film debut. Carpenter became involved in film production while attending university, and even after The Graduate he pursued a career as a director, and his talent quickly blossomed.
